This region of Finnish Lapland has the most winter sports facilities in the country. In fact, millions of tourists come every year to enjoy the skiing, snowboarding, take a snowmobile tour or a walk with snowshoes. The biggest winter resort in Finland is also found here, internationally renowned for its ski jumping competitions, whether Freestyle or Nordic Combined, which mixes slides with jumps.
