Mauritius
This island is one of the best destinations to travel to in September if we don’t want to lose out on a holiday of sun, beach and outdoor activities. Mauritius offers paradisiacal beaches, adventure sports and amazing nature. Nature lovers can visit the Black River Gorges Natural Park, the beautiful Chamarel waterfall or the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden.
To the south of the island are the temples of the Grand Bassin and you can see the faithful Hindus dressed in their coloured robes, leaving offerings of flowers next to a statue of Shiva erected in the middle of a lake. And the sea, of course, is the great attraction of Mauritius. In addition to resting in your hammock after a delightful swim, you can dive in its crystal-clear waters and even swim with turtles and dolphins.
Mexico
This country has a large area and a location which causes it to have a very varied climate. September is the dry season, so travellers can avoid the annoying rains. Mexico has so much to do that a single trip is probably not enough.
An exuberant nature, a history and architecture which are more than interesting, a wonderful culture and gastronomy which will not leave you indifferent. Teotihuacán and Chichen Itza are the obligatory archaeological remains, as are the Mayan ruins of Palenque. The Riviera Maya area has the best beaches in the Caribbean and towns such as Izamal or San Cristóbal de Las Casas have an almost magical beauty.
Indonesia
In September the dry season arrives in Indonesia, so it is a very interesting destination. It is a huge country, which is considered one of the jewels of Southeast Asia. It is made up of more than 17,000 islands and has lots of areas with great attractions for tourists such as Bali, Gili Islands, Sumatra, Borneo or Papua New Guinea.
Indonesia has some of the most impressive temples in the world and a spectacular natural environment, full of rice terraces, volcanoes and jungles of dense vegetation where orangutans live. Its waters are a paradise for lovers of diving and snorkelling and beaches, a real delight for the senses.

This country in the Middle East is another place to travel to in September, when the temperatures drop a little and the heat is no longer overwhelming. Jordan is a country with a great history, full of mysteries and treasures. Reaching the impressive construction of Petra with its long gorge between the rocks is a unique and impressive experience.
The Wadi Rum desert is also a recommended destination and of course, you have to go into the Dead Sea and float on its waters. You should also visit Amman, one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world, where you can enjoy some tea and shisha. The sunsets from Mount Nebo are spectacular. It is also the ideal time to visit the Andes, since during this period there are many hours of sun. In this month, the prices of such a long trip are lower and there are fewer crowds in mythical places like Machu Picchu.

It is also highly recommended to visit Arequipa, another World Heritage Site due to its houses made of volcanic stone and its impressive old town.
Cyprus
Ancient Greek mythology says that the goddess Aphrodite was born from the foam of the sea and emerged on the coast of Paphos, west of Cyprus. And it was a great choice, since the coastline of this Mediterranean island has beautiful landscapes. But Cyprus is much more than beaches, sun and sand.
