6th Day: Larnaca - Famagusta - Larnaca
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we head to Famagusta, nicknamed "the ghost town". Pass through Ayios Nikolaos and reach the viewpoint of the city in the Varosha area. Before the Turkish invasion it was a tourist hot-spot thanks to its golden sand beaches and modern architecture. Currently fenced off by the Turkish army, Cypriots are not allowed to return. It's frozen in time, hence its nickname, with empty but fully equipped shops and hotels. We enjoy a walk through the old town of Famagusta to see the wall, the Othello Tower and the Gothic Church of Saint Nicholas, which is now a mosque. To end the day, stop at a beautiful beach to enjoy a refreshing swim in its warm turquoise waters. Lunch at a local restaurant. Head back to Larnaca. Transfer to the hotel overnight stay in Larnaca.
