    3rd Day: Hanoi City Tour

    Breakfast at the hotel. Today you’ll learn more about Hanoi’s history and get a slice of local life through several stops throughout the city. Start with the Temple of Literature, an early university founded back in 1070 AD. Take a walking tour through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where the street names refer to expert artisans who used to sell their wares here. Stop at a local market where you can enjoy a coffee or tea while taking a midday break.

    Stop for photo ops at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Ho Chi Minh House on Stilts, the Governor’s Palace, and the One Pillar Pagoda.     5th Day: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay

    6th Day: Ha Long Bay - Ho Chi Minh

    Early risers are invited to participate in a Tai Chi demonstration on the upper bridge. Afterwards a light breakfast will be served, and later, a splendid brunch aboard the boat as you continue to navigate through the myriad of islands and islets, paying a visit to the most notable of them. By midday, we bid farewell to the fascinating panorama of Halong Bay and head back to Hanoi.

    Breakfast at the hotel. Today you say goodbye to Vietnam and head by road to Cambodia! After breakfast, depart from Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh on the Mekong Express and Giant Ibis bus. The journey takes you through the country, so sit back and enjoy the ride.     13th Day: Siem Reap – Angkor Thom – Angkor Wat

    *Optional Excursion to a Blessing Ceremony at the pagoda and visit to Tonle Sap Lake: Located in the heart of the city of Siem Reap, Wat Damnak is one of the most beautiful pagodas with French colonial architecture and a garden full of large statues. Bring candles and incense sticks to the pagoda to participate in a private blessing ceremony, conducted by the local monks living in the pagoda. Sit on the mat while the monks sing the blessings and pour holy water on you – a traditional practice by which the gods are believed to bring you good luck. Then, the monks will put a sacred thread around your wrist to protect you from evil spirits. Before continuing your journey, you will receive a small souvenir from the monks to remember this special moment. Next, journey to the outskirts of Siem Reap where you will take a boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, that can grow by ten fold during the rainy season.     17th Day: Bangkok

    Breakfast at the hotel. Today, get ready to discover the city and its temples on an exciting tour! Begin along the main avenues of Bangkok to reach the vibrant Chinatown neighborhood. Our first stop will be at Wat Traimit Temple or better known as the Temple of the Golden Buddha. It houses a 5-ton solid gold Buddha loaded with history as it remained hidden for centuries after being covered in plaster to prevent its destruction during the war. Our next stop will be the Wat Pho Temple or Temple of the Reclining Buddha, one of the largest reclining Buddhas in the world at over 150 feet-long, where you’ll find a spectacular engraving of 108 images representing positive actions of Buddhism. To finish the tour, head to a local precious stone factory where you will see a demonstration of how local craftspeople make their products.     *Optional excursion to the Grand Palace: Discover the impressive Grand Palace complex, symbol of the city and former official residence of the King of Thailand between the 18th and mid-20th centuries.     18th Day: Bangkok

We recommend an exciting and entertaining optional excursion to visit the train market and floating market* or an optional trip to Ayutthaya**. Overnight stay in Bangkok. 

    *Optional Excursion to the Train Market and Floating Market: Travel by road to the town of Mae Klong where you’ll see a curious market installed on the train tracks. If time and luck permits, we will be able to see how the train crosses through the market and, in record time, the merchants collect all the products they have on display on the train tracks. From there, head to the Klong Damnersaduak floating market in Ratchaburi province, considered the most important in the country. Arrive at a pier in the vicinity of the floating market. Take a motor boat ride through the canal area to reach the market itself, disembark, and enjoy free time to walk around, explore their products and enjoy the lively atmosphere. After the market visit, return to Bangkok and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Bangkok.

    **Optional Ayutthaya excursion (outward journey by bus and return by boat): Departure by bus to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of the kingdom of Siam, the name given for over 400 years to the lands that now form Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and part of Myanmar. Discover Ayutthaya and its archaeological site, which is of great historical interest and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visit the complex and then embark on a river cruise that will you on an interesting three-hour tour along the Chao Phraya River to the city of Bangkok. During the trip a buffet lunch will be served on board (drinks not included), arriving in Bangkok in the afternoon.

Arrive at Khai Island and do a little snorkeling to kick-off the day. Set off in the direction of Hong to board a small canoe to explore the eroded cliffs and the island's famous sea caves. Discover the "hongs", inland lagoons between the rock formations and only accessible through caves at low tide. Lunch at Panyi or Fisherman Village. After the canoe ride we will head to the famous James Bond Island. On the way to Phuket we will make a last stop at Panak Island. Return to the port in Phuket and transfer to the hotel by land.

    Obtain your VISA for Cambodia:

    To enhance your overall experience, we recommend that you apply for your Tourist Visa for Cambodia online to reduce your transit time at the border.

    Ways to obtain it:

    1. Online: Apply for your E- VISA for Cambodia at least 7 days prior to your trip. Click on the following link and select ‘VISA T’, the cost is approximately $36 USD. The port of entry will be "Bavet" if you are travelling by land and "Phnom Penh Airport" if you added the flight upgrade. https://www.evisa.gov.kh

    2. On Arrival: If for any reason you were unable to process the visa online don’t worry, you will be able to obtain a visa at the Cambodian border on arrival, in this case we recommend that you bring a ‘passport' photo (35 x 45 mm) with you and $36 USD for the tax payment.

    While Cambodian Visa can also be purchased at destination, VIETNAM VISA MUST BE DONE IN ADVANCE TO BE ABLE TO ENTER THE COUNTRY. (Needed for Irish passport holders)

    Tipping in Vietnam is up to your personal discretion but it is commonplace for service providers to ask for it. In these cases, please keep in mind that the usual tipping standard is around 4$/person/day for guides, and half of that for drivers and hotel staff.

    *Documentation of the internal flights will either be available in the "My bookings" section in your "Customer Area" 14 days before your trip or delivered to you on arrival at your destination. It is essential to fill in the passport information correctly for each passenger in the given boxes at the end of the reservations process.
