What to see in Czech Republic
Vysehrad
Vysehrad is one of the best known walled forts in Prague. It is situated in the new town, on a hill on the right bank of the Moldova river where it meets the Botic river. It was the second castle to be founded by the Przemyslids in the 10th century, having been renovated and modernised during the previous centuries. Its current appearance dates from the Baroque era. Within the enclosure is the Basilica of St Peter and St Paul, along with its cemetery, where various artists, scientists and politicians are buried.
